Penrith Panthers

Congratulations to ex-student (Year 12 2018) Matt Burton who was a debutante for the Penrith Panthers in the NRL game against Cronulla Sharks last Friday night. Matt played an outstanding game and has made the College, Dubbo community and the Penrith Panthers proud. Isaiah Yeo, another ex-student also played in the Panthers team and has featured in first grade games throughout the season. The success of these young men is testament to the working partnership the College has developed with the Penrith Panthers and the Western Rams Academy Program. This program draws players from western regions and the Mudgee area to train using the College’s gym facilities. This opportunity allows the students to remain in their schools and local area to complete their education. St Johns College has had 12 students over the last 30 years reach first grade and in some cases State and National representative status in the Rugby League competitions.
